BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> , This appropriation reflects anticipated funding allocations by the Department of Labor and Industrial <br /> Relations for the PY19 WIOA program. These funds will be utilized to assist adults, dislocated workers and <br /> youth by providing services that will train individuals to increase employment, retention, earnings, skills and <br /> literacy and thereby improving the quality of the 3, reducing welfare dependency and enhancing the <br /> productivity and competiveness of the local economy. <br /> The OHCD emphasizes that no County General Funds are involved in these transactions.
