Chronology of Amendment Process 2017 — Amendments proposed by the personnel from the Mayor's office Correspondence No. 2017-03 2018 April — Amendments proposed by the KCDP Action Committee to the Planning Director via Correspondence No.2018-15 2018 August — Hawai`i County Long-Range Planning Division recommended that initial edits not adequate to, • Resolve concurrency issues • Account for due diligence for resource impact mitigation for road corridors depicted on concurrency map given a piecemeal development scenario • Address"Actions"that attempted to amend Hawaii County Codes by saying`Enacted by Plan" • Address"Policies"that were inconsistent with, ontried to innovate' Hawaii County Codes • Address policy amendments that are interrelated to policies in other sections(e.g. Land-Use,Transportation,and Housing) 2018 September — Began internal review of KCDP Chapter 4, and initial edits from Correspondence No. 2017-3 and No. 2018-15. 2018 November — Began consulting with other County Departments and Planning Divisions. After consulting with the Departments and Divisions listed below,all comments along with all proposed edits were weighed and considered for incorporation to produce a draft Amendment Package. • Office of Housing and Cormnunity Development • Department of Planning-Planning Division • Department of Public Works (Kona Division) • Department of Planning-Administrative Permits 2019 May 5`1 Received comments on the draft Amendment Package from County Corporation Counsel then weighed and incorporated edits. 2019 May 13"' — Subsequent to incorporating Corporation Counsel comments, the Planning Director received,weighed and incorporated comments from representatives from the Mayor's Office to produce the current Amendment Package. 2019 May 14`" — The KCDP Action Committee at its regularly scheduled meeting voted and accepted the current Amendment Package.
