Implementation of this process is provided in the chronology <br /> below. <br /> Chronology of Amendment Process <br /> 2017 — Amendments proposed by the personnel from the Mayor's office <br /> Correspondence No. 2017-03 <br /> 2018 April — Amendments proposed by the KCDP Action Committee to the Planning <br /> Director via Correspondence No.2018-15 <br /> 2018 August — Hawai`i County Long-Range Planning Division recommended that initial <br /> edits not adequate to, <br /> • Resolve concurrency issues <br /> • Account for due diligence for resource impact mitigation for road <br /> corridors depicted on concurrency map given a piecemeal <br /> development scenario <br /> • Address"Actions"that attempted to amend Hawaii County Codes <br /> by saying`Enacted by Plan" <br /> • Address"Policies"that were inconsistent with, ontried to innovate' <br /> Hawaii County Codes <br /> • Address policy amendments that are interrelated to policies in <br /> other sections(e.g. Land-Use,Transportation,and Housing) <br /> 2018 September — Began internal review of KCDP Chapter 4, and initial edits from <br /> Correspondence No. 2017-3 and No. 2018-15. <br /> 2018 November — Began consulting with other County Departments and Planning Divisions. <br /> After consulting with the Departments and Divisions listed below,all <br /> comments along with all proposed edits were weighed and considered for <br /> incorporation to produce a draft Amendment Package. <br /> • Office of Housing and Cormnunity Development <br /> • Department of Planning-Planning Division <br /> • Department of Public Works (Kona Division) <br /> • Department of Planning-Administrative Permits <br /> 2019 May 5`1 Received comments on the draft Amendment Package from County <br /> Corporation Counsel then weighed and incorporated edits. <br /> 2019 May 13"' — Subsequent to incorporating Corporation Counsel comments, the Planning <br /> Director received,weighed and incorporated comments from <br /> representatives from the Mayor's Office to produce the current <br /> Amendment Package. <br /> 2019 May 14`" — The KCDP Action Committee at its regularly scheduled meeting voted and <br /> accepted the current Amendment Package. <br />
