BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The increased speed will provide Gsignificant innpn}vemnenttointernet performance with mminimal additional <br /> monthly cost. <br /> We are currently contracted as follows: <br /> > $1420 a month for 100 mbps at Hilo Civil Defense (20% cost increase, 900% speed increase) <br /> > $ 899 a month for 100 mbps at West Hawaii Civic Center(90% cost increase, 900% speed increase) <br /> The new 5O-rnorth /5-veedcontracts will increase bandwidth at eachlocation ho1gbpsat $1,71O.O0. <br /> These increases in bandwidth will help to support County operations that increasingly rely on cloud-based <br /> SamG (Software ammService) applications to provide eeoenUo| public services. <br /> - <br /> SIGNED: — DATE: 8/14/19 <br />
