This three (3) year <br /> agreement will be to operate the Hele-On Bus Fixed Route Transit Services for the Mass Transit <br /> Agency. The selected contractor will provide drivers to operate County-owned buses for <br /> specified routes and provide their own buses and drivers to service the remaining routes. This <br /> service and equipment is integral in providing the Hawaii Island community with an improved <br /> and consistent transportation system. <br /> The Mass Transit Agency requests that a breach be authorized to submit this resolution after the <br /> August 29, 2019 submission deadline,that it be waived from the Finance, Committee and be <br /> placed on the September 18, 2019 Council agenda, and that the Council waive their five-day <br /> hold-for-reconsideration period in order to expedite this transaction.
