REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC SAFETY <br /> DATE: September 17, 2019 Re: Comm.No. 464 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 9:15 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Safety, to which was referred Communication No. 464,reports as <br /> follows: <br /> Communication No. 464, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated August 29, 2019, nominates <br /> Guy Schutte to the Police Commission. <br /> Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to the Mayor, introduced Mr. Guy Schutte. Mr. Schutte was <br /> born and raised on the Big Island, and is a graduate of Honoka'a High School. He has previously <br /> served on the Police Commission and served as chairman from 2014 through 2016. <br /> Mr. Guy Schutte gave thanks to the Council for the opportunity to serve. <br /> Council Members as a whole are in support of the nomination.
