He is <br /> the auditor of the Church of the Holy Cross, and President of <br /> the Hilo Y's Men Club. He also once served as a member of the <br /> Board of Appeals (July 22, 1992 to May 5, 1993). He states <br /> that he has no political party affiliation. <br /> If approved, Mr. Tanouye will serve a term to end December 31, <br /> 2001.
