WHEREAS, HACBED is requesting funds for a reimbursement of expenses for the <br /> organizing and convening of stakeholders for the Vibrant Hawai`i Island summit; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development supports advancing <br /> household economic self-sufficiency with diverse choices of jobs and entrepreneurial <br /> opportunities; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Research and Development to provide a grant to the Hawaii Alliance for Community-Based <br /> Economic Development for a reimbursement of expenses relating to the Vibrant Hawaii Island <br /> summit. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $7,500 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $7,500 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.161.5163.20 Department of Research and Development $7,500 <br /> Business Development—R&D <br /> 115 Misc.
