'OF MF'� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 422 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER <br /> FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI- <br /> YEAR LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, <br /> HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other <br /> obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, Anekona Ouli Kanehoa VFD Company, a Hawaii non-profit corporation, leases <br /> the property that contains a volunteer fire station, identified as Tax Map Key No. (3) 6-2-015:043, <br /> situated at 62-2489 Waiula Drive, Kamuela, County and State of Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, with the consent of property owner Hale Wailani Partners LP, lessee Anekona <br /> Ouli Kanehoa VFD Company desires to assign its lease to the County of Hawaii Fire Department, to <br /> operate its 9 Bravo Volunteer Fire Station, for the balance of the lease period of ninety-nine (99) years, <br /> which commenced June 5, 2014, and ends June 5, 2113; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Fire Department desires to enter into the multi-year lease <br /> agreement to operate its 9 Bravo Volunteer Fire Station; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Fire Department is requesting authorization for the Mayor <br /> to enter into a multi-year lease agreement with lessee Anekona Ouli VFD Company; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> Honorable Harry Kim, Mayor of the County of Hawaii, is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year <br /> lease with Anekona Ouli VFD Company, for a term effective upon the execution of the assignment of <br />
