This law took effect on March 31, 2019. <br /> Subsequent public interest in the impact of this law resulted in the development of the <br /> attached bill. <br /> In order to gather public input, the division conducted two workshops which included <br /> members of the building, architectural, and real estate sectors. As a result of the <br /> workshop, the division received 203 comments and proposed amendments to the <br /> State's adoption of the energy code.
