REQUEST: <br /> Request a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into a multi-year agreement to continue the County's <br /> Microsoft Government Enterprise Agreement. <br /> Request to waive through Finance Committee and have it placed on the 1/8/20 Council meeting agenda. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The current Microsoft EA will expire in January 2020. The County needs to enter into a three (3) year <br /> agreement to continue receiving the best overall pricing and benefits of Microsoft software. <br /> The Microsoft Enterprise Agreement(EA) for Government provides the best overall pricing, the benefits of <br /> Software Assurance, as well as simplified licensing management. The EA for Government provides a <br /> seamless way to license both on-premise software and cloud services.
