AGREEMENT FOR SPECIAL COUNSEL <br /> THIS AGREEMENT FOR SPECIAL COUNSEL, made this day of <br /> � 2015, by and between the COUNTY OF HAWAII, a <br /> municipal corporation duly organized under the laws of the State of Hawaii, whose <br /> principal place of business is 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, hereinafter called <br /> the "County" and LEONG KUNIHIRO BENTON & BROOKE, by and through its <br /> undersigned counsel, GARY N. KUNIHIRO, attorney at law, whose business address is <br /> 1212 Davies Pacific Center, 841 Bishop Street, Honolulu, HI 96813, hereinafter called <br /> "Special Counsel." <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Human Resources, Health & Safety <br /> Division, Workers' Compensation Branch, requires the assistance of counsel for the <br /> purpose of evaluating and advising the Division on various workers' compensation <br /> cases; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 103D-304, Hawaii Revised Statues, as <br /> amended, the Office of the Corporation Counsel caused to be published a Notice to <br /> Providers of Legal Professional Services, and received timely responses; and <br /> WHEREAS, the law firm of LEONG KUNIHIRO BENTON & BROOKE was <br /> one of the providers who responded to the Office of the Corporation Counsel's request; <br /> and <br />
