BEQUEST: <br /> Amend Ordinance 19-73 by appropriating the following: <br /> The Office of Housing and Community Development is requesting the appropriation of$650,000 to the Housing <br /> Voucher Program (Account Number 152.3301.54). This amount represents an additional increase in <br /> revenues received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to be used for Housing <br /> Assistance Payment subsidies, and is to cover the expenditure account number 152.461.5466.30.371, <br /> Voucher rental subsidies. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The increase in appropriation reflects the updated allocation to be received from the U.S. Department of <br /> Housing and Urban Development for the period July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020 for the Housing Choice <br /> Voucher HCV (Section 8 program). The $650,000 is to be used for payment of rental assistance for eligible <br /> participants in the program. The OHCD expects to expend this allocation by June 30, 2020. <br /> In February of each year, the OHCD compares the County budgeted and HUD anticipated funding for the <br /> Section 8 Program and adjust the budgeted amounts, if necessary; to reflect more closely the anticipated <br /> Program 8 funding the County is to receive for the current fiscal year. <br /> SIGNED: DATE: 02/21/20 <br /> Department Head <br />
