Legislative Contingency Relief Funds in the amount of$2,000 were <br /> transferred to the Department of Research and Development in order provide a grant to <br /> Hua 0 Lahui via Resolution No. 376-19. These funds were to be used for a canoe <br /> carving project at the annual Merrie Monarch Festival in April 2020. However,the <br /> festival was cancelled, and the department is requesting-that the funds be returned to the <br /> Legislative Contingency Relief account. <br /> The Department of Research and Development requests that this resolution be waived <br /> from Finance Committee and be placed on the April 22, 2020 Council agenda in order to <br /> expedite the transfer of these funds.
