BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> Grant funds were intended to be used for a canoe carving project in Hilo at the 57th annual Merrie Monarch <br /> Festival in April 2020 and in Honolulu at the 13th quadrennial Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture in June <br /> 2020. Both festivals have been canceled due to a coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, the Department is <br /> requesting funds to be transferred back to the Clerk-Council Svc-Contingency Relief account. <br /> The department requests that this resolution be waived from Finance Committee and proceed directly for <br /> Council's review to help expedite transfer of these funds. <br /> SIGNED: ti ?
