Hawai`i County Charter Commission -10 April 25, 2019 <br />CHR. ADAMS: Certainly. The motion is to approve on initial read... for Initial <br />Approval, CA -19 which is the proposal to add a new Section to Article X, <br />Financial Procedures. To prohibit the County from applying a minimum real <br />property tax and unless otherwise provided for by ordinance, require that real <br />property taxes be levied based on the assessed value of the parcel and any <br />improvements thereto. <br />All in favor of the motion please signify by saying "aye" (aye), all opposed? <br />(aye), "naye"... opinion of the Chair, the "naves" have it. Do we need by <br />individuals? <br />MR. HENRICKS: Yeah, if we could just get a vote count, perhaps... <br />CHR. ADAMS: Right. The vote was...the understanding of the Chair, the vote <br />count was 9-1. <br />MR. HENRICKS: Okay. <br />CHR. ADAMS: Or 1-9, whichever the correct phrasing is, with Commissioner <br />Hopkins the lone "aye". All other Commissioners present "naye", and <br />Commissioner Bergin excused. <br />MR. HENRICKS: Okay.
