Nahale-a: okay, and you did a fantastic job of describing your business to us. Commissioner
Greenwell, did you want to say something at this point?
Greenwell: Are there going to be bento take-outs?
Fujibayashi: Bento take-out will be onigiri or rice ball, sandwiches and soup.
Greenwell: Take-out?
Fujibayashi: Yes, take-out only morning, morning time.
Greenwell: My question to you is, if you have bento take-outs, is there going to be ample
parking for bento take-outs? In other words, trucks don't stop on the road, block the traffic;
have you looked at that?
Fujibayashi: Oh, (converses with Ms. Yoneyama, translating for him).
Nahale-a: I'm actually going to put a pause on the answer.
Fujibayashi: we have our own parking place and we can (do) drive-through. My restaurant
is in one building so a car can go around and not cause traffic. (There won't be any traffic).
Nahale-a: Okay, before we go any further with Commissioners' questions for the testifier,
is there any public testimony for this application?
There was no public testimony.
Nahale-a: Seeing none, any other questions or discussion?
There were no other questions or discussion.
Nahale-a: Motion to approve or deny?
Hughes: Motion to close public hearing.
Masuda: This is preliminary.
Hughes: Preliminary, sorry. I'll make that motion.
Nahale-a: Motion to approve Application No. 18-20?
Hughes: Yes.
Nahale-a: And if approved, public hearing to be held July 3, 2019, in Hilo.
Hughes: Yes.
Raymond: Second.
MAY 2, 2019 -LIQUOR COMMISSION MINUTES 24
