Hawaii Game Management Advisory Commission Meeting <br />Minutes – May 14, 2019 <br />SB: I can’t speak to that – I wasn’t part of that – that happened a long time ago. <br /> <br />AA: It happened a long time ago and then it also wasn’t revised yet either, right? <br /> <br />SB: No. I know it was challenged once in the early 90s and it failed. <br /> <br />AA: And it failed. <br /> <br />SB: Yes. <br /> <br />GD: Going forward now – considering that – are you going to be able to implement <br />that into the plan effectively? <br /> <br />SB: Exactly what are you asking...? <br /> <br />GD: What Abraham was just talking about. <br /> <br />SB: About protecting game mammals... <br /> <br />AA: Protecting all our game not only our mammals our birds, our fish – the <br />Constitution says you guys supposed to protect our game management and <br />our resources. <br /> <br />SB: We’re tasked with that and we’re also tasked with protecting all the species... <br /> <br />AA: All the species... But it’s almost like a one-sided thing – only endangered <br />species get priority out of everything else. <br /> <br />SB: Yeah, sometimes that happens. <br /> <br />NP: Do you guys know who’s gonna be in the group that’s gonna do the next <br />draft? Who are the members? <br /> <br />KS: Myself and Ian were tasked with drafting it. <br /> <br />NP: Oh, so it is – and then you’re gonna submit it... <br /> <br />KS: Probably in conjunction with Shaya. So working together. <br /> <br />TN: Are you gonna incorporate Article 12, Section 7 and the other Constitutional <br />rights to protect our game animals – I mean you have to look at that. <br /> <br />KS: I need to – I don’t know – I can look that up – I don’t know that article – I’m <br />sorry that I don’t, but, yeah, I mean, if it’s appropriate I don’t see why not but I <br />don’t know what that article states. <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br /> <br />
