And the first thing is to review the <br /> <br />5 <br />compensation plan that, you know, our Salary <br /> <br />6 <br />Commission Plan that we approved two meetings ago and <br /> <br />7 <br />revised at the last meeting. And I don't know if any <br /> <br />8 <br />of you have any changes you want to make to that or <br /> <br />9 <br />any discussion you want to have about that plan at <br /> <br />10 <br />this point (SEE ATT. A). <br /> <br />11 <br />I will say that my intent as Chair is to start <br /> <br />12 <br />following that Plan, which means the next three people <br /> <br />13 <br />on the list after today, with the finance office, <br /> <br />14 <br />we'll invite to come to our next meeting with the sole <br /> <br />15 <br />purpose of making sure we understand all of the people <br /> <br />16 <br />-- responsibilities of the people that we give raises <br /> <br />17 <br />for. And, as Dr. Dow pointed out, there are a lot of <br /> <br />18 <br />services offered by the County, but our particular <br /> <br />19 <br />interest is the people who lead the major elements of <br /> <br />20 <br />this County and what they do. It gives us a better <br /> <br />21 <br />idea for -- at least in our recommendation we might <br /> <br />22 <br />come up with. <br /> <br />23 <br />So, any thoughts, changes? Last time, <br /> <br />24 <br />Mr. Higgins came up with a good change, which we voted <br /> <br />25 <br />for and approved.
