PAVAO: I would just like your thoughts <br />4 <br />on how overtime plays into the relative salaries with <br />5 <br />the fire chief and the deputy. <br />6 <br />MR. HENKEL: It's my impression that the <br />7 <br />chief and the deputy chiefs don't get overtime. <br />8 <br />MR. PAVAO: Right, right, right. <br />9 <br />MR. HENKEL: But the other people in the <br />10 <br />department get it, and it's part of their Collective <br />11 <br />Bargaining Agreement with their union. And I don't <br />12 <br />know if that even weighs on what you guys are <br />13 <br />considering. <br />14 <br />MR. PAVAO: Do you think it should weigh? <br />15 <br />MR. HENKEL: You know, I'm in the HGEA. I <br />16 <br />teach school. I really appreciate everything that my <br />17 <br />union does for me, but I still think there's a point <br />18 <br />when the unions -- they're not too strong, but I think <br />19 <br />that their compensation package is kind of undermined. <br />20 <br />They're costing the County a lot of money.
