<br /> <br />Page 31 <br />1 <br />previous collective bargaining, that it would be in <br />2 <br />line with what other bargaining units have received. <br />3 <br />And, if that holds true, then I think our provision <br />4 <br />would be sufficient. <br />5 <br />Normally, there's some vacant positions along <br />6 <br />the way, so it usually helps us, you know, to be able <br />7 <br />to balance the budget. But, I mean, we've already set <br />8 <br />the budget for the coming year, so we don't want to <br />9 <br />have to go out and, you know, make any amendments or <br />10 <br />anything like that -- but we believe each department, <br />11 <br />you know, is sufficient. <br />12 <br />But, you know, when we're looking at the <br />13 <br />group of people that you guys set raises for versus all <br />14 <br />other employees, that's the smaller portion, you know. <br />15 <br />I know the last raises ended up adding up to a lot, but <br />16 <br />there was a lot of catch-up in it. And so, I think if <br />17 <br />you were -- I heard 3 percent or -- you know, the <br />18 <br />collective bargaining units got 2 percent plus steps. <br />19 <br />So, in that range, we would be okay. <br />20 <br />MS.
