4. Public Testimony None <br />on Agenda Items. <br />5. Old Business A. Mayor's Letters Letters to Mayor regarding the <br />creation of a letter to address <br />monthly issues as an <br />informational communications, <br />the consideration for having a <br />West Hawaii and East Hawaii <br />Mayor Committees and the option <br />of having the committees held via <br />multiple county sites (beyond the <br />two sites already being utilized). <br />These three letters either did not <br />pass motion for further action, or <br />did not meet the conditions for <br />feasibility. <br />The annual report of the <br />Committee to the Office of Aging <br />will include the Committee <br />concerns to the Mayor, if any. <br />B. Bill Hanson from Civil Defense Due to change in meeting dates, <br />Mr. Hanson will be invited to the <br />October, 2019 meeting to be held <br />in Kona. <br />C. New Officers Members Patricia Walters as <br />Chair, and Susan Shirachi as <br />Treasurer/Secretary were <br />introduced. <br />Due to Chair Walters not being <br />present, the September meeting <br />was presented on the floor for <br />possible cancellation. Member <br />Shirachi made the motion, <br />Member Alcoran seconded. <br />Motion carried with unanimous <br />vote. <br />D. Videoconferencing for committee Due to lack of staffing available <br />meetings for multiple site <br />videoconferencing, this option <br />will not be feasible for the <br />County. <br />The possibility of having <br />teleconference meetings was <br />Hawai 'i County is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
