Laura Rasgado, teacher of Lucy at HAAS, sent in a thank you note regarding the <br />Real Women Essay Contest. <br />C. Dylan Olson, friend of Lucy and student at HAAS, sent in a thank you note re- <br />garding the Real Women Essay Contest. <br />D. A. Schweitzer sent in a thank you note regarding the Real Women Essay Con- <br />test. <br />VIII. REPORTS <br />A. No update on our NACW Membership Application for 2019 <br />B. NACW's 49th Conference: July 22-24, 2019 in Chicago — no vote needed since no <br />one expressed interest in attending the conference. <br />IX. OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Teen Dating Violence - tabled <br />B. Real Women Essay Contest <br />• The Essay Contest Luncheon on April 28, 2019 was a great success. <br />Two students were unable to attend. One student sent her parents in her <br />place. Timing of the event was well paced. The food and service at Nani <br />Mau were excellent. <br />No update on article for 2019 event. <br />No update on partnering with KNKR 96.1 "Women's Voices" Radio Show <br />to showcase Essay Contest Winners. <br />Reminder for everyone to submit their mileage claims for this event. <br />C. Hawaii Island Women's Leadership Forum (HIWLF) <br />• HIWLF is hosting a screening of the film "Rise of the Wahine: Champions <br />of Title IX," May 22, 2019, UH Hilo Performing Arts Center, 5:00 p.m. <br />D. CSW Brochure <br />Reviewed most recent draft, send feedback directly to Mihaela. <br />Still need a few more pictures. <br />E. Family Services Directory <br />• No update on printing of 2019 directories from the County. <br />• Need to create new tracking document for 2019 distribution. <br />• Need to decide where the directories will be stored. <br />F. Human Trafficking <br />• HCC is no longer interested in the project, will work with UHH in the next <br />fiscal year. Looking at possible radio announcements or video by January <br />2020 to coincide with national campaign in collaboration with HSCSW. <br />E <br />
