F. Human Trafficking <br />a. Mihaela reported that this committee is still working on making contact with a <br />potential community partner. Jewel and Mihaela met with Julie Mowrer and <br />Marisa Miyashiro from UH Hilo College of Community Engagement. There <br />may be a student who is interested, but there is no confirmation yet. <br />b. Another possible project for this sub -committee is obtaining and distributing <br />posters and other printed materials to increase visual awareness about the <br />topic of Human Trafficking. <br />c. Cyd will be participating in an event on June 28 at the Hilo Women's Club. <br />She will email the flyer to Lisa to send out to the rest of the committee. It is <br />open to the public. <br />G. Equal Pay <br />a. Grant from Hawaii County is working with Resonate (The Wave) who is not in <br />compliance and therefore, cannot get paid by the County. If they do not come <br />into compliance before the end of this fiscal year, they may not be able to get <br />paid for the ads they ran. Amount is estimated to be $333. <br />X. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. New Programs + New Projects <br />a. Mihaela expressed interest in generating a report on the Status of Women on <br />Hawaii Island. This could be modeled after the 2017 report produced by the <br />Hawaii State CSW. <br />B. Update on CSW Operating Guidelines <br />a. Mele suggested that a sub -committee be formed to look at the operating <br />guidelines and bring recommendations to the committee for review. <br />ACTION ITEM: Add agenda items to form committees for Status of Women report and <br />CSW Operating Guidelines to next month's agenda. <br />C. Review Slate from Nominating Committee for upcoming CSW elections + Vote <br />a. No nominations were made from the floor. <br />b. Mele motioned and Kami seconded to close nominations from the floor and <br />accept the slate as presented. Motion passed. <br />c. Vote by raise of hand was taken. Slate of officers received 6 votes and passed <br />unanimously. Officers are: <br />• Farrah -Marie Gomes — Chair <br />• Kami Bolster — Vice Chair <br />• Mihaela Ryer —Recording Secretary <br />• Andrew Langtry — Treasurer <br />• Mele Spencer — Corresponding Secretary <br />d. Change of officers takes effect immediately. <br />I. ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting was adjourned at 11:34am. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, <br />July 17, 2019 via videoconference at Hilo and Kona. <br />K <br />
