o Establish a positive working relationship with Prosecuting Attorney's <br />office <br />o Seek answers to questions: 1) Why has the submitted CSW budget <br />changed? 2) Who does the Prosecuting Attorney's office send the <br />CSW budget emails to? <br />o Lisa provided answers to Jewel and shared that CSW missed the <br />November 2018 deadline. Grant presents twice to the Finance <br />Committee to confirm CSW budget proposals. CSW Chair gets emails <br />from Prosecuting Attorney's office regarding budget. <br />o Jewel asked that she, as CSW Treasurer, also get copied on all <br />emails pertaining to CSW budget. <br />C. Update on Budget <br />• Budget is due November 1, 2018 and if CSW misses deadline, then <br />Prosecuting Attorney's office can request funds on behalf of CSW but there <br />is no guarantee CSW budget request will be approved as submitted. <br />• CSW can change the fee under a line item but cannot add another line item <br />once budget is submitted and approved. <br />• We can update Grant with any changes to the amount for line items made. <br />• CSW discussed clarifying these process steps in the CSW Operating <br />Manual. <br />• Per Lee Lord, Budget and Program Objectives are due November 1St for <br />following fiscal year July 1 -June 30. <br />• Jewel will work with Grant moving forward. <br />D. Discuss 2019-2020 Budget + vote to approve <br />• CSW discussed the following edits to the budget <br />• Brochure Directory $262 <br />• Family Services Directory $262 <br />• Mileage $2,007 <br />• Teen Dating Violence $250 <br />• Real Woman Essay Contest $800 <br />• Equal Pay $385 <br />• Hawaii Island Women's Leadership Forum $500 <br />• Human Trafficking $250 <br />• Facility $2,000 <br />• Commissioner Meals $600 <br />E. Vote to request funds from CSW for projects <br />• Jewel motioned to prepare 2019-2020 fiscal budget with edits shown above. <br />Recommendation was to reduce line item 106 (Printing) by $226. Mihaela <br />seconded. Motion carried. <br />• HUMAN TRAFFICKING Budget request discussed. <br />• Committee met Dec 5th. Progress reported, no contest being pursued <br />but committee will seek partnership to conduct radio ad. <br />• Mihaela contacted Hawaii Community College — Digital Media Arts <br />department and they are delighted to work with CSW HT Committee. <br />Digital Video class is excited to produce video. <br />• Motion: Mihaela moved to ask State CSW for $500 Fiscal year <br />2019-2020, Kami second. Mihaela moved to amend and ask $750 <br />2 <br />
