V. TREASURER'S REPORT <br />A. December Financials <br />• Two expenses listed in December 2015 comprised of one meal <br />and mileage expense, totaling $363.94. <br />• Members to provide "in-kind" expenses to Mele for reporting. <br />• Mele will get financial report to Farrah who in turn will send out to <br />committee before February 2016 meeting. <br />B. Brooke Derby motioned to accept October 2015 and November 2015 <br />financials and Jewel Castro seconded. Treasurer's financials were <br />approved as submitted for October 2015 and November 2015. <br />VI. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />A. None. <br />VII. CORRESPONDENCE <br />A. None. <br />VIII. REPORTS <br />A. State CSW Liaison <br />• Cyd provided update — National CSW conference coming up on <br />July 16-21, 2016. Registration fee is $390 all-inclusive. There will <br />be a one day $200 member registration fee option. Non-member <br />registration on-site will be $415. <br />• Grants were applied for to off set costs; CSW committee to <br />provide update at future meeting. <br />• Women's coalition/caucus will meet next month to discuss bills <br />that will be included in the Coalition's legislative package. Issues <br />include legislative advocacy, workplace protection equal pay, paid <br />family, sick leave, and human trafficking. <br />• Sex trafficking training will be held on 29th at Nani Mau Gardens <br />Hilo. Contact Amy Nye at (808) 956-8204 or anyeQhawaii.edu to <br />reserve a spot. <br />• Aloha and Equality for All is the theme for 2016 conference. Cyd <br />asked CSW members to recommend speakers and topics for <br />National Commission of Women conference. Discussion about <br />possible NACW conference topics: trainings on how to get <br />appointed and looking to run for office, young female advocates, <br />and young change makers. <br />• Mele inquired about County CEDAW. Kirk Caldwell signed <br />Honolulu CEDAW bill on November 23, 2015. At Hawaii County <br />level, there is currently no proposed bill yet. <br />• Cyd proposed at State meeting in December 2015 that monies <br />would be put aside; reserved 20K for any of the county committee <br />members to attend conference. <br />Action: Cyd will follow up on monies allotted for Hawaii County Committee <br />members to attend State conference in July 2016. <br />2 <br />
