Jewel made motion to move $500 in Teen Dating category and <br />move remaining $485 to Equal Pay, increasing Equal Pay to $885. <br />Seconded by Brooke Derby. No discussion. Real Women Essay Contest <br />• There was a mailing delay in getting essays to/from Aunty Jessie <br />for scoring. <br />• Ties in several categories. <br />• Winners in three older categories and winners will be contacted <br />soon. <br />• Committee needs to meet to plan for program, booklet, and <br />preparation. <br />• 6 of 16 essays are done; upon completion we will make spiral <br />bound booklets to distribute. <br />• April 17th is event date for Real Woman Essay luncheon. <br />• Lisa received the lowest bidder on March 8, 2016, but she now <br />has to provide additional documentation to confirm. Ten business <br />days from today is the latest is when we would find out if lowest <br />bidder is compliant. <br />D. Hawaii Island Women's Leadership Forum <br />• Planning members are meeting every second and fourth Friday. <br />• Event is confirmed for August 26, 2016. <br />• Farrah shared that theme is solidified "Tools for Excellence. Self, <br />Relationships, Career, and Community". We need to hone in on <br />purpose statement that aligns. We will hold workshops that will <br />provide "tools" to women in attendance that will enable and <br />encourage immediate implementation of tools. <br />• Purpose of program will be placed on printed materials. <br />• 25% on the way to securing deposit with Hilton <br />• Communications and Program Committee is meeting weekly. <br />• Committee is working on schedule for the day and speakers. <br />• Price not confirmed but will be shared with CSW members once <br />finalized. <br />• Mele shared that Program Committee came up with three sessions <br />as a recommendation, yet to be discussed with Planning Members. <br />E. CSW Brochure <br />Update on status: Wait until real women essay to get current <br />pictures to use in brochure. <br />Next meeting on April 8, 2016, CSW group will look at brochure on <br />big screen to make final edits. <br />Action: Brooke will research paper stock to be used and will send to Farrah. <br />3 <br />
