State CSW Liaison <br />• Cyd sent partial report that request to State CSW in the amount of <br />$1,650.00 was denied because State CSW is holding funds for <br />NACW conference. <br />• Farrah submitted a revised $546.87 request to supplement funds; <br />it's likely to get funded, pending approval. <br />• Farrah to provide report at next month's meeting May 2016. <br />• <br />NACW will be open to the public, July 16-21, 2016 in HNL. <br />IX. PROJECTS <br />A. Teen Dating Violence <br />• YWCA website reviewed by CSW members <br />• Recommended changes: beneath "Teen Dating" add text in <br />smaller font "This page cosponsored by Hawaii County <br />Committee on the Status of Women because... "Love shouldn't <br />hurt". <br />• Edit the Message Section: enlarge logo on left side w/ text aligned <br />on right side of logo. <br />• Dear Abby section: move Dear Abby after cell phone card and <br />before videos and add text "Click below to read letter written by <br />teen to Dear Abby". <br />• Need to update Urgent Services Directory <br />B. Proposed Projects for next year <br />• Jewel provided update on proposed projects for teen dating <br />regarding the disc containing information with Roxanne. <br />• Jewel recommended in February 2016 to use $500 for PSA to <br />announce YWCA website. Jewel can obtain an invoice from The <br />Wave radio station; idea is for Jewel to get students to record <br />message at the radio studio. Members agreed to move forward. <br />• Farrah recommended by end of day Monday for Jewel to submit <br />proposal. Dates of radio ad must run before June 30. Ads should <br />be run morning, afterschool and weekends. Farrah requested that <br />Jewel explore how much $500 can buy CSW and run ads in May <br />and June only. <br />• Reference website in the radio ad, if possible. <br />• Farrah played Equal Pay Day 30 second radio ad as an example. <br />CSW agreed to explore both 30 second and 60 second ad <br />proposals from the Wave. Jewel will ask The Wave what would <br />have a greater impact; 30 seconds or 60 seconds. <br />2 <br />
