So, that's why I'm <br />2 <br />looking at it from that point of view. <br />3 <br />And I don't know about you people, but I have <br />4 <br />a lot of people come up to talk to me about different <br />5 <br />things, so I kind of know where my constituents are at, <br />6 <br />I mean, so that's why I'm taking a look at this and in <br />7 <br />this manner, you know. I want to see if we could -- <br />8 <br />it's like a compromise. To me, it's like a compromise. <br />9 <br />MR. PAVAO: I totally understand what you're <br />10 <br />saying. It's just my thought is that it's just bad <br />11 <br />precedence for this body to pick and choose who they <br />12 <br />going to give raises to, I mean, on those that we are <br />13 <br />mandated to give raises to. It's just bad precedence <br />14 <br />to pick and choose. That's my opinion. <br />15 <br />CHAIR: Benson? <br />16 <br />MR. MEDINA: Well, I tend to agree with what <br />17 <br />Florence is saying because, you know, that executive <br />18 <br />group - mayor, council members -- they are, basically, <br />19 <br />either elected or appointed officials.
