So, if <br />4 <br />we're comparing it -- because population-wise and, I <br />5 <br />guess, maybe -- population-wise, in size of the unions <br />6 <br />that some of the departments have to oversee would be <br />7 <br />pretty comparable? <br />8 <br />MR. BRILHANTE: To which? <br />9 <br />MS. GREENBAUM: Maui and Island of Hawai ʻ i? <br />10 <br />MR. BRILHANTE: You know, I think <br />11 <br />population-wise, the County of Hawai ʻ i and the County of <br />12 <br />Maui are somewhat close. I think Maui has a little <br />13 <br />higher population. But then when you look at <br />14 <br />logistics, the size of the island, the County of Hawai ʻ i <br />15 <br />is significantly larger. <br />16 <br />MS. GREENBAUM: Right. <br />17 <br />MR. BRILHANTE: So, say, like, for example, <br />18 <br />the jurisdiction of the fire department, similar size <br />19 <br />department but, yet, the scope or area of responsibility <br />20 <br />is significantly larger for the County of Hawai ʻ i. And, <br />21 <br />oftentimes, we talk about wildland fire or that type of <br />22 <br />situations, then size does matter. <br />23 <br />MS. GREENBAUM: Okay. And, as far as union, <br />24 <br />we're all kind of the same, though, as far as -- <br />25 <br />MR.
