Vice -Chair Sousa asked if there was any discussion regarding the Pension Application. There <br />was none. <br />2. Ms. Young of Accounts (Payroll) distributed the August 23, 2019, County of Hawai`i <br />Pensioners' statistics for review and discussion purposes. (Attached). There was no discussion, <br />and Vice -Chair Sousa thanked Ms. Young for her hard work and providing the information. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />Mr. Henricks, County Clerk thanked Ms. Torres for her many years of excellent service, having a great <br />attitude and being very organized, as she will be transitioning from her current position. And Ms. (Haku) <br />Keli`i, Administrative Assistant will be assuming the position of secretary to the Pension Board. <br />Vice -Chair Sousa added, on behalf of the Hawai`i County Pension Board, that the board would also like <br />to thank Ms. Torres for being very efficient and pleasant and has kept them on their toes. Although Ms. <br />Torres has been promoted and will be leaving the Pension Board, Vice -Chair Sousa felt confident that <br />the board is left in good hands with Ms. Keli`i. <br />Ms. Torres also thanked the board members and staff for volunteering their time, and thanked Ms. Keli`i <br />for her willingness to assume the duties as Pension Board Secretary. Ms. Torres also thanked the Clerk <br />and Deputy Clerk for attending today's meeting. <br />Vice -Chair Sousa stated, although her along with others volunteer to serve on the board, this is their way <br />of giving back to say, "Thank you," to the County of Hawai`i. <br />Vice -Chair Sousa announced that the next quarterly Pension Board meeting will be held on Monday, <br />November 25, 2019, at 1:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers pertaining to New Elections for 2019-2020. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Ms. Ikeda made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
