<br /> <br />(6) Type of test administered and the minimum passing score <br />used. <br /> <br />(b) An examination record shall be maintained in accordance with <br />the record retention schedule established by the director and <br />approved by the Committee on the Destruction of Records. <br />\[Eff. 07-01-02\] (Auth: HRS §76-17) (Imp: HRS §§76-17, 76-18) <br /> <br />SUBCHAPTER 4 <br /> <br />MEDICAL STANDARDS AND EXAMINATIONS <br /> <br />§3-22 Medical standards. <br /> <br />The director, with the advice and assistance of the County Physician, shall <br />adopt medical standards in order to: <br /> <br />(1) Ensure that persons seeking appointment in the civil service <br />system meet the health and physical requirements <br />necessary for the performance of the essential duties of the <br />position, with or without reasonable accommodation, and <br />without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of the <br />person or others; <br /> <br />(2) Ensure that each employee is able to perform the essential <br />duties of the employee's position satisfactorily with or without <br />reasonable accommodation, and without posing a direct <br />threat to the health or safety of the employee or others. <br />\[Eff. 07-01-02; am 03-01-15\] (Auth: HRS §76-17) (Imp: HRS §76-18, HCC §7-1.4) <br /> <br />§3-23 Kinds of medical examinations. <br /> <br />(a) Pre-entry medical examination. Pre-entry medical examinations <br />may be required after a job offer has been made and prior to an <br />initial appointment, including a temporary appointment that <br />exceeds eighty-nine days. <br /> <br />(b) Medical reevaluation. A medical reevaluation is a medical <br />examination to determine the health and physical capacities of <br />employees to perform the duties of their positions satisfactorily, with <br />or without reasonable accommodation, and without posing a <br />direct threat to the health or safety of themselves or others. Such <br />re-evaluation should be concerned only with the medical <br />conditions relating to the satisfactory performance of the essential <br />duties and with protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the <br />employees or the public. <br /> <br />3-11 <br /> <br />
