YOSHIMOTO: Yeah, you can just read the— <br /> <br />CHR. NAHUINA: Okay. <br /> <br />MR. YOSHIMOTO: —blurb that’s on the agenda. <br /> <br />CHR. NAHUINA: Okay. <br /> <br />MS. NAMAHOE: Okay. I make a motion that regarding “New Business (for discussion)” <br />regarding the Merit Appeal Board—Merit Appeals Board’s evaluation tool for the director of HR <br />for fiscal year 2018-2019 including HR director’s department goals and objectives for fiscal year <br />2018 and 2019, which was postponed previously on September 19, 2018. I move that we go into <br />executive session. <br /> <br />MR. YOSHIMOTO: I’m sorry—pursuant to HRS— <br /> <br />MS. NAMAHOE: Pursuant to HRS—pursuant to HRS sections 92-4, 92-5, subsection (a)(2) <br />and 92-5, subsection (a)(4)—for the purpose of evaluating an officer or an employee of the <br />County of Hawaiʻi where the consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved in <br />consulting with the Board’s attorneys on questions and issues pertaining to the Board’s powers, <br />duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A two-thirds vote pursuant to HRS section 92-4 is <br />necessary to hold an executive meeting. <br /> <br />Therefore, I move that we go into executive session. <br /> <br />MR. TAM: And I second. <br /> <br />MS. NAMAHOE: Thank you. <br /> <br />CHR. NAHUINA: It has been moved and seconded that we go into executive session. All those <br />in favor say, “Aye.” All those opposed? <br /> <br />AYES: Board Members Chillingworth, Namahoe, Tam, and Chair Nahuina – 4. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />EXCUSED: None. <br /> <br />CHR. NAHUINA: Same sign.
