MUKAI: That's correct. <br /> <br />4 <br />CHAIR: Let me read this first into the <br />5 <br />minutes, and then we'll discuss that. <br /> <br />6 So, Communication 18-02 was received on <br />7 <br />October 25th, 2018, appealing an employment action <br />8 <br />concerning the discharge from the fire recruit process <br />9 <br />by Hawai ʻ i County Fire Department. <br />10 <br />Then there's also Communication 18-02.1, <br />11 <br />which was received on December 28, 2018 from the County <br />12 <br />requesting a continuance of the hearing scheduled on <br />13 <br />February 21st, 2019, and the meeting was held on <br />14 <br />December 19th. <br />15 <br />The Board scheduled the hearing date <br />16 <br />regarding the above appeal for a February 21st. The <br />17 <br />request was made by the County for a continuance. It <br />18 <br />was granted with no objection from the Appellant, and <br />19 <br />certified letters were mailed to the parties dated <br />20 <br />January 23rd informing them of this. <br />21 <br />Glynis, do we know if -- the Appellant, has <br />22 <br />he confirmed that he would be attending this morning? <br />23 <br />MS.
