<br />Page 17 <br />1 <br />across-the-board training workshops? Is this monies to train <br />2 <br />the trainers, or is this money to train all the County <br />3 <br />workers? <br />4 <br />MR. BRILHANTE: That's a very good question. <br />5 <br />Because actually we fill -- our department fills both roles. <br />6 <br />First, we have a Training and Development Division, which is <br />7 <br />required or which is -- whose primary purpose and duty is to <br />8 <br />provide outside training to our County employees, whether it <br />9 <br />be, you know, workplace violence training or supervisor's <br />10 <br />training or something to that effect. That's not the <br />11 <br />training we're discussing. That budget hasn't been touched. <br />12 <br />What we looked at for this reduction was the <br />13 <br />training of our staff, you know, to have outside training for <br />14 <br />our staff to send our staff people, our HR staff people to <br />15 <br />outside training. So we, currently, you know, this year we're <br />16 <br />budgeted for about $5,100, approximately. So, we reduced that <br />17 <br />down to $1600, approximately, again, to meet the requirement, <br />18 <br />the requested requirement of a three-percent reduction. <br />19 <br />Now, that doesn't mean that that's all we're going <br />20 <br />to have for discussion because we do have the opportunity to <br />21 <br />submit a supplemental budget. And, you know, that's something <br />22 <br />that we have on the table which we will discuss with finance <br />23 <br />department moving forward. And I think there'll be some <br />24 <br />significant changes in that supplemental budget. <br />25 <br />MS. NAMAHOE: Okay.
