<br /> <br /> <br />Page 23 <br /> <br />1 <br />like. <br /> <br />2 <br />And we're going to partner with Hawai ʻ i Community <br />3 <br />College and Office of Continuing Education and Training to <br />4 <br />make that like a formalized, possibly certification, where <br />5 <br />our managers, supervisors can -- and even aspiring managers <br />6 <br />and supervisors -- can partake in the program. They can apply <br />7 <br />to the program and get that training that we think will be so <br />8 <br />beneficial as they advance through their careers. <br />9 <br />And, again, it's all in the guise and the <br />10 <br />understanding of trying to bring everybody to be uniform. And <br />11 <br />then, so we all, you know, go down the road following the same <br />12 <br />path. You know, we're not all over the place. <br />13 <br />Next department is Classification and Pay, and <br />14 <br />that's headed by Ms. Jennifer Sakamoto. And, again, on <br />15 <br />October 2nd she hired a replacement HR Specialist I for her <br />16 <br />Classification and Pay Division. She's currently training <br />17 <br />that -- the new individual, and the training is ongoing. <br />18 <br />She's also currently, her department, her division -- <br />19 <br />is also currently working with Mass Transit. They're <br />20 <br />updating all the PDs for all their white-collar positions. I <br />21 <br />think the last time those position descriptions were updated <br />22 <br />were maybe about 20 years ago. So, she's currently <br />23 <br />working on that. <br />24 <br />She's also working with the building and planning <br />25 <br />departments.
