<br />Page 25 <br />1 <br />prospective employee. She has an incredible background in <br />2 <br />civil rights. She's currently with State Department of <br />3 <br />Transportation. She's very experienced, and she came highly <br />4 <br />recommended. You know, I personally contacted her current <br />5 <br />supervisor as well as her previous supervisors, and she's <br />6 <br />coming with glowing recommendations. So, we look forward to <br />7 <br />her starting on December 1st. You know, that's -- you don't <br />8 <br />know how happy I am because I've been covering that area in <br />9 <br />the interim. <br />10 <br />So, that's pretty much with ADA. Then the next <br />11 <br />category is Health and Safety Division. You know, we've had <br />12 <br />significant changes in the leadership in that department. <br />13 <br />When Mayor Kim's Administration came on board, you know, <br />14 <br />December 5th, he identified Charmaine Kamaka, and then our <br />15 <br />Health and Safety Division Manager, Ryan Chong -- to lead the <br />16 <br />Department of Parks and Recreation. And since that time, you <br />17 <br />know, Charmaine -- and so, to backfill Ryan's position, we <br />18 <br />brought in Mr. Allan Yokoyama to come in and fill the <br />19 <br />position. <br />20 <br />But, since that time, Charmaine and Ryan have <br />21 <br />resigned as Parks and Rec's. director and deputy, so Ryan had <br />22 <br />return rights back to his old position. So, Ryan returned as <br />23 <br />our division head starting last month. And what I did was -- <br />24 <br />Allan Yokoyama was with us for about four months.
