CALL TO ORDER: <br />The regular meeting of the Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Recourses <br />Preservation Commission was called to order at 10:10 am by V. CHR. DR. FRANK <br />and announces the absence of Chr. Tomich. <br /> <br />Present: Dr. Wayne Frank V. CHAIR (V. CHR.) <br /> Ms. Koohan Paik Mander, Member <br /> Mr. Kai’ena Bishaw II <br /> Ms. Shellie Bee Allen Naungayan, Member <br /> Mr. Rick Warshauer, Member <br /> Ms. Susan Wells Fischer, Member <br /> <br />Support Staff: Ms. Maxine Cutler, Commission Secretary <br /> Mr. Ronald Kim, Deputy Corporation Counsel <br /> Mr. Hamana Ventura, Property Manager, Dept. of Finance <br /> <br />Absent: Mr. Kekaulike Tomich CHAIR (CHR.) <br /> Vacant District 5 & 7 <br /> <br />II. STATEMENT(S) FROM THE PUBLIC: <br />V. CHR. DR. FRANK directed the commission to the next order of business, state- <br />ments from the public on agenda items and invites the first testifier to the micro- <br />phone. <br /> <br />Toni Withington: intro herself and the four non-profits: Kamakani O Kohala Ohana, <br />Malama Na Wahipana O Kohala, Maika’i Kamakani O Kohala, and Malama Ko- <br />hala Kahakai and their efforts in preserving portions of the Kohala Coast. She ad- <br />dresses the commission concerns in preserving cultural and natural resources ef- <br />forts in Kohala through education and signage. <br /> <br />Cheryl Tanguay: intro herself of Kona Vistas she reads her testimony. She appeals <br />to PONC Commission regarding a property endangered of on-going develop- <br />ment activities in the Pualani Estates that would destroy ancient artifacts, re- <br />moval of land from agricultural use and sustainability and refers to Comm. 19- <br />024, Kona Village Rezone 470 Suggestion nomination.
