Roberts: Yes, we're going to be doing that. That's what this license is for. That's this
application. In order for us to manufacture, obviously, we have a lot of other hoops to
jump through and we haven't started that process yet. This application is just to serve
beer and wine now, in our café.
Thomas: Is there a long-term intention to change the configuration inside?
Roberts: No, it's going to be pretty much the same. I don't think we're going to be doing
anything else. We made some small changes like we got bar stools with backs. We had
bar stools without backs, but it seemed safer, so we chose to do that. No real changes.
Onizuka: Anymore questions?
There were no questions from the Commissioners.
Hughes: Motion to close the public hearing.
Greenwell: Second.
Mr. Hughes moved to close the public hearing; seconded
by Mr. Greenwell.
Onizuka: Moved and seconded to close the public hearing. Any discussion?
There was no discussion from the Commissioners
Onizuka: Seeing none, all those in favor say, "Aye."
The Commissioners voted "Aye."
Onizuka: Opposed, "Nay."
There was no opposition by the Commissioners.
Onizuka: Motion carried.
The motion was carried unanimously
Hughes: Motion to approve Application No. 19-12, pending final inspection.
Thomas: Second.
Mr. Hughes moved to approve Application No. 19-12, Big
Island Booch Inc., dba Conscious Culture Cafe, for an
original Restaurant General liquor license, Category B1,
and change of dba to The Booch Bar, located at 110 Keawe
Street, Hilo, Hawaii, TMK: 2-3-005:008, pending final
inspection; seconded by Ms. Thomas.
JANUARY 2, 2020-LIQUOR COMMISSION MINUTES 12
