Chairman Roth called the meeting to order and the Commissioners introduced themselves. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Minutes of the meetings of November 19, 2019 <br /> Chairman Roth asked if there were any corrections to the minutes. No corrections were offered, and the minutes were <br /> approved as circulated. <br /> STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS <br /> None. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. The applicant, William McCowatt, is proposing a revision to tenant space Unit B3, for HICO Coffee, at <br /> Building B, Unit B, Brew Lot 12 Kona, on Pawai Place, to remove a front storefront window and install an <br /> overhead glass door that rolls up and remains open during business hours, and/or down during the hotter <br /> parts of the day. The tenant wishes to have an open-air coffee shop as much as weather will allow. The <br /> proposed door is made of materials matching the dark bronze metal frame and glass. The color scheme will <br /> remain the same as existing Building B, as previously approved by the KVDC on November 1, 2016 for <br /> Phase 1 Kona Brewery Project, to rebuild 2 new industrial buildings. <br /> Landowner: Queen Liliuokalani Trust(Lessee: Manini Holdings, LLC) <br /> TMK: 3) 7-4-010:018 <br /> Location: 74-5599 Pawai Place, Unit B3,Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 <br /> Ms. Newlon presented her report and displayed the applicant's site plans to show how the roll top garage door <br /> would look and perform, and noted the door would be open mostly during the morning and evenings and/or when <br /> weather permits. As stated in the agenda, the door matches the previously approved exterior color scheme, on <br /> Brew Building B, and will not be changed. Ms. Newlon stated, the applicant supports natural ventilation and the <br /> lowered use of air conditioning/energy that the overhead glass door will allow and respectfully asked that the <br />
