Minutes <br />Regular Meeting of the Pension Board <br />November 25, 2019 <br />County Building, First Floor — Council Room, Hilo, Hawaii <br />CALL TO ORDER: The quarterly meeting of the Pension Board was called to order at 1:30 p.m. by <br />Chair Nyala Neill. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Present: Nyala Neill, Chair <br />Irma Sumera, Member <br />Mae Ikeda, Member <br />Absent & Excused: Emma Sousa, Vice -Chair <br />Jerry Hamamoto, Member <br />Also Present: Jon Henricks, County Clerk and Ex -Officio Member <br />Aaron Brown, Deputy County Clerk <br />Deanna Sako, Director, Finance Department <br />Kay Oshiro, Controller, Finance Department <br />Linda Young, Payroll Specialist II, Finance Department <br />Haku Kelii, Administrative Assistant, Office of the County Clerk -Council <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS: (There were none.) <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: August 26, 2019 <br />Ms. Sumera moved to approve the minutes of August 26, 2019. Seconded by Ms. Ikeda. <br />The motion was carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Board Members Sumera, Ikeda, and Chair Neill — 3. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />1. Chair Neill proceeded with the Election of Officers and asked for nominations for Chair and <br />Vice -Chair for the new term (December 2019 to November 2020). <br />Ms. Sumera made a motion to nominate Ms. Ikeda as Chair of the Pension Board for the <br />new term. Seconded by Ms. Neill. <br />The motion was carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Board Members Sumera, Ikeda, and Chair Neill — 3. <br />
