DPW/LRB <br /> CONSTRUCTION CODE - DRAFT 5/26/20 <br /> For review and comment <br /> (1) A journey worker electrician,journey worker specialty electrician, supervising <br /> electrician, or supervising specialty electrician license licensed pursuant to chapter <br /> 448E, Hawaii Revised Statutes; or <br /> (2) A homeowner for electrical work on a single-family dwelling which the homeowner <br /> will personally occupy and use exclusively for living purposes, provided the <br /> homeowner is a journey worker electrician,journey worker specialty electrician, <br /> supervising electrician, or supervising specialty electrician licensed pursuant to <br /> chapter 448E, Hawaii Revised Statutes. <br /> (c) Plumbing work regulated by the construction code, and specifically chapter 517, the <br /> plumbing code, shall be performed only by: <br /> (1) A master plumber or j ourney worker plumber licensed pursuant to chapter 448E, <br /> Hawaii Revised Statutes; or {17-21(a).) <br /> (2) A home owner for plumbing work on a single-family dwelling which the homeowner <br /> will personally occupy and use exclusively for living purposes, provided the <br /> homeowner is a master plumber or journey worker plumber licensed pursuant to <br /> chapter 448E, Hawaii Revised Statutes. <br /> (d) No person shall allow any other person to do or cause to be done any work under a permit <br /> except individuals employed by the permit holder. {17-1 S(c).) <br /> Article 7. Fees. <br /> Section 5-7-1. Permit plan review; general. <br /> (a) A fee shall be assessed for plan reviews. The fee shall be in the amount of twenty percent <br /> of the permit fee, with a minimum fee of$50 and shall accompany the application,plans, <br /> and specifications that are filed for review pursuant to section 5-4-1. Plan review fees shall <br /> be assessed in addition to the permit fee. <br /> (b) No additional plan review fee will be assessed for a second submittal. Plan review fees for <br /> subsequent submittals shall be: $250 for a third submittal; $500 for a fourth submittal; and <br /> $1000 for each additional submittal. <br /> (c) A fee shall be assessed for plan reviews resulting from revisions of permits that have <br /> already been issued, where a new permit is not required. The fee shall be in the amount of <br /> twenty percent of the original permit fee, or $50, whichever is greater. <br /> 29 <br />
