This <br /> does not preclude the homeowner from obtaining additional permits for the same <br /> building or accessory building on the same lot; {9-35(2).) <br /> (3) A supervising electrician or supervising specialty electrician licensed pursuant to <br /> chapter 448E, Hawaii Revised Statutes: <br /> (A) Who is employed as a maintenance electrician by someone other than a <br /> contractor described above; <br /> (B) Who is employed by the County or State; or <br /> (C) Who is applying for electrical work for such person's own dwelling; or <br /> {9-35(3).) <br /> (4) A journey worker electrician licensed pursuant to chapter 448E, Hawaii Revised <br /> Statutes, and employed by the County of Hawaii. {9-35(4).) <br /> (c) A permit to do plumbing work regulated by the construction code, may be issued only to: <br /> (1) A plumbing contractor licensed pursuant to chapter 444, Hawaii Revised Statutes; <br /> {17-17(a).) <br /> (2) A homeowner for plumbing work on a single-family dwelling which the homeowner <br /> will personally occupy and use exclusively for living purposes, provided the <br /> homeowner is licensed pursuant to chapter 448E, Hawaii Revised Statutes. Only one <br /> such permit may be issued to such a homeowner, unless the authority having <br /> jurisdiction finds that strict application would result in practical difficulty and <br /> hardship and that the granting of a second permit would not be contrary to the <br /> purposes of the code.
