Engagement—The HCWDB leads thee ngagement of its partners to work with businesses and support their <br /> immediate and future talent and training needs.Certification of the AJCH and addition of affiliate locations to <br /> accommodate the needs of the entire island. <br /> Career Pathways—through strong coordination with business,industry,education,training and other partners, <br /> the HCWDB ensures that training credentials and education coursework are aligned with employer-validated <br /> competencies that result in career pathways. <br /> Representatives from WIOA core programs serve as members of the HCWDB board.Additionally,area directors <br /> and managers of the same program partners work with other workforce stakeholders through the American lob <br /> Center Hawaii(AJCH). Local Board representation allows for formal input on the direction of the workforce <br /> activities,service integration,and implementation of area wide workforce development initiatives. <br /> The One Stop is located in Hilo, at 427 Kilauea Avenue, B-30. Programs located at the One-Stop include: Disability <br /> Employment Initiative,Wagner Peyser,Veterans,Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act(WIOA)Adult and <br /> Dislocated Worker Program and occasionally National Farmworker Jobs Program.The AJCH Staff and partners <br /> cross trained to understand program opportunities and resources available to assist client's based on their needs <br /> and eligibility. <br /> The workforce system is a multitude of private and public agencies, programs,and services.AJCH Stakeholders <br /> and other community partners, provide awareness of the WIOA programs,mandated partner programs, <br /> community resources and tools available.Continually strive to build strategies to share information related to <br /> agency functions, programs, services and in turn, meet the needs of the One Stop customers in the most <br /> comprehensive manner possible. <br /> 3.2 Identify the programs/partners that are included in the local workforce development system. Include,at a <br /> minimum,organizations that provide services for Adult Education and Literacy,Wagner-Peyser,Vocational <br /> Rehabilitation,Temporary Assistance for Needy Families,Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program,and <br /> programs of study authorized under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006.
