Miscellaneous is being defined to be sign language <br />services, or as what the committee has determined as <br /> <br />critical or important to the goals of the committee. If <br />there is an unusual circumstance, then an exception must <br /> <br />be submitted for County approval. <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Hiraishi asked that the members provide her with <br />their comments and information for the committee <br /> <br />efforts. The member feedback needs to be provided to her <br />by September 15, 2020. Prior minutes are on the County <br /> <br />website for the committee and public access. <br /> <br />B. Completion of the <br />Administrative Assistant Raine indicated that what is <br />Annual Report for <br />provided to her for the Fiscal report may contain much of <br />Outgoing Mayor- <br />what the annual report could contain. Chair Hiraishi will <br />Plan <br />be sharing her daft to the committee at the October 28, <br />2020 meeting. Members will finalize the report at the <br /> <br />October 28, 2020 meeting. New Mayor <br />meeting. The intent is to introduce and share the <br />Introduction Letter- <br />importance of the existence of the committee. New <br />Review Draft <br />Mayor is to be placed on December 8, 2020. Final vote at <br /> <br />that same time. This is in order to make the new Mayor’s <br />start date. <br /> <br /> <br />Members who wish to continue with the committee may <br /> <br />choose to reapply at the end of the present Mayor Kim’s <br />term due to the coterminous nature of the committee <br /> <br />member’s appointment. However, the application process <br />is up to the new Mayor - online, paper, etc. The office of <br /> <br />the Mayor determines who will be appointed and the <br />speed of appointment to the committee. <br /> <br /> <br />Member Yogi will be discussing concerns of quorum for <br /> <br />committee meetings to be held based on present bylaws. <br /> <br /> <br />Pending Chair Hiraishi will be bringing the topic of by- <br />laws revision for discussion. She also mentioned the <br /> <br />annual report that needs to be created and submitted with <br /> <br />the financial/budget report to the Mayor’s Office. <br />Christina will send the last annual report to the members. <br /> <br />The last annual report was submitted in September, 2019. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Page 3 of 4 Hawai`i County is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
