8-25. Drinking alcoholic beverages, smoking, use of drugs, or use of firearms is <br />prohibited. <br />RULE 9 Transfer Station Operating Rules <br />9-1. All self -hauled acceptable household materials deposited into a transfer station <br />container or area shall be accepted by the County for disposal on any day the transfer station is <br />open. <br />9-2. Prohibited materials and special handling materials shall not be dropped off at a <br />transfer station, including solid waste generated by a business, government agency, religious <br />entity or nonprofit organization. Prohibited materials and special handling materials may be <br />accepted upon approval of the director. <br />9-3. The director may authorize the disposal of non -self -hauled solid waste at the <br />transfer station and may also authorize non -household solid waste disposal. <br />9-4. The SWD personnel may search and/or recover lost items from the transfer station <br />at the discretion of the SWD and the customer shall be charged a fee for said service. <br />9-5. Any unauthorized person entering into the transfer station during nonworking <br />hours or for purposes other than that permitted in this section shall be considered to be a <br />trespasser, and shall be subject to criminal enforcement under chapter 20, HCC. <br />9-6. All customers enter the facility at their own risk. <br />9-7. All materials shall be deposited directly into the designated container or solid <br />waste area. <br />9-8. Depositing materials outside of a designated area shall be considered littering and <br />shall be punishable pursuant to chapter 14, HCC. <br />9-9. Customers are expected to utilize the appropriate designated container or area at a <br />transfer station that offers sanitary landfill diversion collection. <br />9-10. All customers shall adhere to all communications from SWD personnel and/or <br />County contractors. <br />9-11. Customers are limited to dropping off one large appliance per vehicle per day <br />where accepted. <br />9-12. Customers may include one double -bagged deceased household pet per day in <br />their daily load limit. <br />19 <br />
