9-13. Customers shall not put greenwaste into solid waste chutes at transfer stations <br />that offer greenwaste collection, except greenwaste that is classified as an invasive species. <br />9-14. All vehicles shall have a current County of Hawai'i vehicle registration and safety <br />inspection, which shall be made available upon request by SWD personnel. <br />9-15. The maximum solid waste load size, including construction and demolition debris <br />but excluding greenwaste, shall be 3 cubic yards or less, and/or seven feet or less in any <br />dimension. Items exceeding the maximum dimensions or one load per day shall not be allowed <br />unless approved in advance by the director. <br />9-16. Hide -a -beds are not permitted to be thrown down the transfer station chute. <br />9-17. Vehicles are limited to sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, or vans. Dump bed trucks are <br />prohibited at the transfer stations. Trailers are prohibited at transfer stations, except as <br />provided below: <br />(a) After a review of site designs, safety reports, and SWD recommendations, and <br />having determined that a transfer station allows the safe maneuvering, the <br />Director will publish locations, dates, and times trailers will be allowed. The <br />Director may suspend this authorization at any time. <br />(b) Trailers shall not exceed 6 feet by 9 feet. <br />(c) All trailers shall have a current County of Hawai'i vehicle registration and safety <br />inspection. Transfer station users shall follow all other rules for solid waste <br />disposal and all directions from SWD personnel. <br />(d) Transfer station users shall pull trailers beside a chute and minimize reversing <br />their trailers when possible. <br />(e) The Director will notify the public of schedule changes regarding trailers at <br />transfer stations. <br />9-18. Business -owned vehicles are permitted, provided they are limited to the vehicle <br />types listed in Rule 9-17 above and are delivering household, self -hauled solid waste, and/or <br />recyclables contained in no more than two 33 gallon trash bags per vehicle per day. <br />9-19. The maximum greenwaste load size which is placed into a SWD greenwaste <br />container or area shall be 5 cubic yards or less. Except for palm fronds, all other greenwaste, <br />including logs and branches, shall be 5 feet or less in length and 6 inches or less in diameter. <br />Only one load per day shall be allowed unless approved in advance by the director. <br />time. <br />9-20.
