The evidence will show that during the background checks Mr. Shook was determined to not be qualified and through the testimony of Officer Van Reyes, who is retired, Sergeant Jason Grouns, and Police Chief Paul Ferreira Hawai`i County Police Department acted properly in finding Mr. Shook not to be qualified to proceed as a police officer recruit. There simply was no harassment, intimidation, or any violation of Mr. Shook's civil rights as noted in his complaint. CHR. NAMAHOE: Thank you, Mr. Mukai.
