We engaged and had meetings with the planning department and with this <br />administration regarding our concerns pertaining to Hilo`s CDP. We were told that "Hilo does <br />not have a CDP" and in order to develop a current Hilo CDP to replace the grossly outdated <br />Hilo CDP of 1975, funding would need to be in the budget. We want to ensure the transition <br />includes the funding necessary to develop a current Hilo CDP to be included in the GP <br />2040. We were also assured repeatedly that an appendix of policies from the GP 2005 <br />affecting Hilo would be included in the GP 2040 as a placeholder until a current Hilo CDP is <br />
