§ 15-8 H AWAI‘I C OUNTY C ODE <br />(d) Recreation facilities shall have opening and closing times posted at each facility as <br />established by the director. Recreation facilities that do not have opening and <br />closing times posted shall be considered closed and available only via a use permit <br />or specific approval issued by the director or the director’s authorized <br />representative. <br />(e) The director may close or restrict access to any park, recreation facility, or any <br />portion of a park or recreation facility when necessary for the protection of the <br />park, facility, or portion thereof or for the safety and welfare of persons or property <br />via the posting of appropriate signage indicating the extent and scope of each <br />closure. <br />(f) All persons shall observe and abide by all officially posted signage and designated <br />hours of operation. <br />(1983 CC, c 15, art 1, sec 15-8; am 2023, ord 23-11, sec 4.)15-8 <br />Section 15-9. Disorderly conduct prohibited; defined. <br />(a) Disorderly conduct is prohibited. <br />(b) A person is guilty of disorderly conduct if, with purpose to cause public <br />inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk thereof, the <br />person: <br />(1) Engages in fighting or in threatening, violent, or tumultuous behavior; <br />(2) Makes unreasonable noise or subjects another person to offensively coarse <br />utterances, gestures, displays, or abusive language in a manner which is likely <br />to provoke a violent response; or <br />(3) Creates a hazardous or physically offensive condition by any act which serves <br />no legitimate purpose of the actor. <br />(1983 CC, c 15, art 1, sec 15-9; am 2015, ord 15-52, sec 2.)15-9 <br />Section 15-10. Explosives and fireworks prohibited; exception. <br />(a) The use or possession of explosives is prohibited except upon written permission of <br />the director. Any authorized use or possession of explosives shall conform with all <br />applicable Federal, State, and County laws. <br />(b) The use or possession of fireworks and firecrackers is prohibited, except upon <br />written permission of the director. <br />(1983 CC, c 15, art 1, sec 15-10.)15-10 <br />Section 15-11.
