NO.13k{p <br />1 <br />requirements under this chapter is technologically <br />2 <br />feasible and economically practical. <br />3 <br />(c) <br />Prior to program use of any advanced technology for <br />4 <br />conversion <br />of postuse plastic polymers for the purpose of <br />5 <br />producing <br />recycled material to be counted toward reuse and <br />6 <br />recycling <br />performance targets, the producer responsibility <br />7 <br />organization <br />shall provide the department with a third -party <br />8 <br />assessment <br />prepared to examine the impact of the advanced <br />9 <br />technology <br />on the following: <br />10 <br />(1) <br />Air and water pollution and release or creation of any <br />11 <br />hazardous pollutants; and <br />12 <br />(2) <br />The greenhouse gas emissions resulting from products <br />13 <br />and processes of the advanced technology facility, <br />14 <br />taking into account the full life cycle including <br />15 <br />final use of products. <br />16 <br />(d) <br />The results of the assessment under subsection (c) <br />17 <br />shall, whenever <br />reported and communicated, provide full <br />18 <br />disclosure <br />of geographical, temporal, and technological <br />19 <br />boundaries <br />that have been selected for the assessment. <br />2021-0546 HB HMSO-1 3 4 <br />
